About

Our Practice

We’re more than accountants. We’re financial strategists.

We’re not just bean-counters filing tax returns. You’re hiring us because you need help tracking business finances, filing tax returns, navigating bankruptcy, handling mergers and managing the intricacies of divorce financials. You don’t have the time or the training to do it, but we do.

When you depend on us, we offer a high level of assistance, expertise and hand-holding. It’s a unique approach that’s uncommon amongst a number of accounting firms. We work with you to help achieve your financial goals. By interpreting what the numbers mean, we are able to make professional recommendations for both business and personal financial strategies that translate to positive changes now and in the future.

Whether you’re just starting out as a business owner or you want to take your business to the next level, we are your solution. What are your target goals for this year? Where do you see your business in 5 years? 10 years?

These are just a few of the questions we ask you at our first consultation, which is free. We want to do more than take care of your taxes and financial statements. We want to do more than fix what’s broken today. We have our sights set on your future success. We want to form a personal rapport with you and we want to support your business’ growth for decades to come.

We’re not limited by industry or location. Our clients come from an endless range of professions and are located around the globe. We’re a tech-savvy team, comfortable leveraging software and programs to make our working relationship with you smooth and efficient.

You tell us your goals. We help you get there.

Tribute to Our Founder

Bob Coval founded Robert Coval CPA in 1980; over the next 42 years, he built it into one of the premier accounting firms in Massachusetts. He expanded his expertise by becoming a highly sought-after forensic accountant, along with a bankruptcy and business litigation financial expert. Bob was always passionate about his client’s well-being, looking for new opportunities to help them succeed financially.

Bob was many things to many people. To his clients, he was a trusted advisor and counselor. He was a mentor and teacher to his employees and the community. He was a generous supporter and philanthropist. Above all, Bob Coval was a businessman. He loved finding creative solutions to complex problems and helping his clients succeed.

In 2019, flanked by Meredith Anderson and his son Doug Coval, Robert Coval, CPA, became Coval Anderson Coval. CAC quickly grew service offerings and expanded into innovative solutions for its established clients and new ones.

We mourn the loss of our founder and friend but know that Bob would want us to continue his life’s work in providing stellar transparent services without the fluff or ceremony. We’ll continue to work hard for our clients and each other, just as Bob always did. We’ll never forget his wisdom, humor, and generosity.
